Risk Assessment

When doing any type of recording, it's always essential to make sure any risks are controlled and dealt with effectively. As part of the filming, it was crucial to analyse what could cause possible damage depending on our locations are what props were used during the filming.

During the music video, our protagonist character is found having a playful fight with his little sister the deutaragonist. Although it comes across as harmless, we ensure that the weight of the object being used  fight were suitable for individuals to handle and so to it was, as it was a soft cushion being used which caused absolutely no harm to the character. Additionally, the power in which our artist generated to hit the other actor had to be controlled also and in order to do this successfully, we as a group advised the character on how much power to use. It still remained crucial to generate a substantial amount of power in order to make it look realistic. On a scale from 1-5, it'll be a 2 because it could be easily stopped.
There were also moments in the video, in which our characters were recorded selling fake drugs and rubbing people. It was important to verify the fact that these exchanges were fake and the best way to deviate from the escalation of the situation was to do the recording in an area isolated from vast amounts of people. This way we stop the escalation and any possible problems that may have occurred during the filming. However, it was still necessary to have some kind of idea as to how we could make the situation harmless if we are spotted doing these changes inadvertently, and we were able to understand that this could only be possible if we were supervised by a member of staff whom had allowed us to carry out the task in the first place. Similarly, although the drugs aren't real, it is still vital to make it seem realistic as possible and in order to achieve this we would need to make the location somewhat covert as it meets the conventions of deviant behaviour among young teenagers. On the scale, it'll would be a 4.
The conditions of the weather was also a really significant factor regarding how preparation for the filming went and we managed to cope with difficult conditions either by using it to our advantage, for example through creating a gloomy and dark scenario to present that particular scene to be negative. However, we could avoid bad weather by checking the weather forecast on the day we want to film on, that way we plan ahead and see what days become more suitable to film certain shots. On a scale it would be a 1.




Being trusted with a digital camera was really complimentary. Although we are sixth from students, it's still really vital to handle the cameras with care. In order to do this, we usually kept the camera in school with our teachers or in our lockers, this way it was clear that less harm would happen to it. Additionally, we also need to be careful when recording, because some people may not want to be involved in the filming and they and they may have been included accidentally which is something they may have found really disrespectful. In order to present this, it's important to speak with the people positioned in that situated asking them if they mind us filming there that way they are aware and could decide to move. It would a 2 on the scale.
