Risk Assessment
When doing any type of recording, it's always essential to make sure any risks are controlled and dealt with effectively. As part of the filming, it was crucial to analyse what could cause possible damage depending on our locations are what props were used during the filming.
During the music video, our protagonist character is found having a playful fight with his little sister the deutaragonist. Although it comes across as harmless, we ensure that the weight of the object being used fight were suitable for individuals to handle and so to it was, as it was a soft cushion being used which caused absolutely no harm to the character. Additionally, the power in which our artist generated to hit the other actor had to be controlled also and in order to do this successfully, we as a group advised the character on how much power to use. It still remained crucial to generate a substantial amount of power in order to make it look realistic. On a scale from 1-5, it'll be a 2 because it could be easily stopped.
There were also moments in the video, in which our characters were recorded selling fake drugs and rubbing people. It was important to verify the fact that these exchanges were fake and the best way to deviate from the escalation of the situation was to do the recording in an area isolated from vast amounts of people. This way we stop the escalation and any possible problems that may have occurred during the filming. However, it was still necessary to have some kind of idea as to how we could make the situation harmless if we are spotted doing these changes inadvertently, and we were able to understand that this could only be possible if we were supervised by a member of staff whom had allowed us to carry out the task in the first place. Similarly, although the drugs aren't real, it is still vital to make it seem realistic as possible and in order to achieve this we would need to make the location somewhat covert as it meets the conventions of deviant behaviour among young teenagers. On the scale, it'll would be a 4.
The conditions of the weather was also a really significant factor regarding how preparation for the filming went and we managed to cope with difficult conditions either by using it to our advantage, for example through creating a gloomy and dark scenario to present that particular scene to be negative. However, we could avoid bad weather by checking the weather forecast on the day we want to film on, that way we plan ahead and see what days become more suitable to film certain shots. On a scale it would be a 1.
Being trusted with a digital camera was really complimentary. Although we are sixth from students, it's still really vital to handle the cameras with care. In order to do this, we usually kept the camera in school with our teachers or in our lockers, this way it was clear that less harm would happen to it. Additionally, we also need to be careful when recording, because some people may not want to be involved in the filming and they and they may have been included accidentally which is something they may have found really disrespectful. In order to present this, it's important to speak with the people positioned in that situated asking them if they mind us filming there that way they are aware and could decide to move. It would a 2 on the scale.

As a group our chosen music genre was grime, therefore this meant that we needed to use codes and conventions that would normally be in a rap music video. The target audience was going to be young adults and elderly teenagers. Due to the use of profanities included this enabled us to understand that the teenagers below sixteen wouldn't be able to listen to do, although our aim is to attract viewers it still remains paramount that we make the viewing and the song suitable for a particular age group.
Additionally, through the miss-en-scene we were able to make our music video seem more like grime, as the dark lighting and designer clothes conforms to the codes and conventions of a grime video. Similarly, the inclusion of several close up shots emphasised the fact that the protagonist character is passionate about the music which in turn makes it relatable to the audience. Furthermore, through the music video the audience could not only see Yungen's talent through his meaningful lyrics, but we were also able to make sure that they could denote his difficult and turbulent life. The ups and downs becomes visualised in our video when he's situated at home with scattered clothes, no food and no electricity. The implementation of this allows the audience to know that Yungen was a character whom had a very difficult upbringing but was able to turn it around because of his string belief and dedication regarding what he believed in. Similarly, i feel that our target audience could relate to this as the our artist is situated in south london meaning that they may have been through what he's rapping about. We also wanted to make the target audience people who are going though difficult moments in their life, and not specifically young black working males. Our aim was to be flexible and in order to this we needed to research other genres of music in order to understand what make a pop video unique from a rap video for example. Through this research, we were able to gather that including both a narrative and performance in the video would make our video unique, but also it still needed to be conformative to a grime music video. We felt that pin-pointing the target audience was detrimental to the progression of our music video as it made it cliche and repetitive to how most music videos are, therefore we just a narrative music video with some aspects of an interpretative music video to exhibit the differentiation and exploration of our groups methodology.
In conclusion, i feel that the music video would attract adolescent teenagers from south east london based on the fact that they could relate to it the most. Alternatively, i also feel that individuals of a higher social status could listen to this type of music and enjoy the video because they could find it intriguing in understanding how people from a less economically developed area go through. In addition, it could also be an eye opener to them and they may change their perception on how they view young middle class teenagers.
I would suggest that males are more likely to be drawn to this type of music video, as it includes violence and illegal behaviour which is something young boys are more incline to do. However, females could still listen to this song as it does come across as quite relaxing and calm.

Evaluation part one the brief
I have been hired by SC records to manage the promotion of one of their new acts, i have been contracted to create one music video package, and a 6 or 8 gate cover for the artists digipak as well an advertisement to promote the digipak. Additionally as part of the task i needed to find my own artist with his or her song. My chosen artist was a group named House Of Pahroes, i found them because one of my classmates was a member in the group and i gained encouragement from the fact that i was able to familiarise myself with them based on the lyrics. I felt this was significant as it influenced my decision making as i was more comfortable understanding the lyrics. It was also easy for me to gain permission as i was able to approach my classmate in person and ask for his permission and fortunately i found he was more than willing for me to use the track. The music genre was grime, i felt that this was helpful to me in the sense that it could be based in my area. This way i saved time as i didn't have to travel as much. However, despite the fact i could relate to the lyrics grime music wasn't my type of music, so it meant that i needed to understand the context little bit better. I was able to do this, as i had friends who had huge interest in grime and so their nuance combined with my partial understanding meant i could implement some of the codes and conventions.
